About
I’m a communications and project management professional driven by a passion for environmental and social sustainability. Born in Germany and raised in Palos Verdes, CA and Boca Raton, FL, I learned the value of adaptability at an early age. Having studied Humanities and Business Studies at Providence College, I moved to New York City and quickly earned a reputation as a diligent and meticulous copywriter and editor through my work at Time Out New York and The New Yorker. While at The New Yorker, my exposure to some of the world’s most influential journalists sharpened my focus on the looming challenges that the planet faces.
This led me to pursue a Master of Urban Planning at NYU Wagner—recognized as one of the country’s most innovative public service schools—where I focused on the intersection between ecological and urban systems. Now, equipped with real-world experience in both promotion and policy, I am committed to leveraging my skills to service a variety of cause-based organizations.
Work
PRINT AND DIGITAL MEDIA
I have developed and managed special advertising sections and promotional copy for publications such as The New Yorker, National Geographic Traveler, and Time Out New York, as well as for associated advertisers and partners. There are no "take backs" in publishing: a keen eye for detail is essential when producing content for readerships in the millions. Click here for samples of my work.
HUMAN INTEREST
I have had the opportunity to oversee the production of human interest content, which has included international travel coordination, the engagement of interview subjects, the management of photographers, videographers, specialized vendors (such as drone technicians), and translators, and the promotional application of the resulting content. PROMOTIONAL CONTENT
Whether for an event, a fundraising video, or sales collateral, promotional content must be clear, concise, and impactful. My experience in copywriting and editing has allowed me to develop solutions for not-for-profits, governments, and others.

EVENT PLANNING
I have experience in planning and producing promotional material for events of varying sizes and audiences. At Safe Water Network, this includes our annual Beyond the Pipe Forums in Ghana and India, our participation in SIWI’s annual World Water Week in Stockholm, board and committee meetings, press events, donor functions, and our annual year-end reception. Our 2019 reception, the Water for All Ball, attracted a variety of notable guests and performers (including Norah Jones, above) and raised $1 million in support of Safe Water Network's vision and mission.
URBAN PLANNING & DESIGN
My decision to pursue a Master of Urban Planning at NYU Wagner stemmed from my belief that the global challenges tied to growing consumption, population, and environmental degradation can best be addressed through urban design centered on sustainability and inclusivity. My studies led me to realize the crucial role that water and sanitation play in modern life, and this awareness has guided my professional trajectory.
